Role Responsibility
- Report to the Project Manager;
- Carry out his/her responsibilities in a professional manner, providing strong leadership to his/her team;
- Promote a high degree of integrity and professionalism, and uphold Canada’s values and ethics;
- Maintain a good and current knowledge of the local threat and political environment;
- Effectively command and control CP operators and operations;
- Provide close protection services to clients during moves within the city;
- Organize and coordinate training and exercises for embassy staff, CP members and other personnel, as required;
- Armed and is expected to contribute to the defense of the embassy during an emergency;
- Be incorporated into the QRF and Mobile Support Team, as required; and
- Other duties, as required.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally French/English speaking
- The Contractor must provide a CP Team Leader with a minimum 6 years military/police experience in a NATO member country and/or UK/USA agreements alliance signatory and experience as a team leader.
- Minimum rank of NATO equivalent OR-7 and honorable discharge.
- Minimum 24 months’ experience in an area of active conflict, including at least 12 months’ experience in Kabul, Afghanistan.
- The CP Team Leader must have previous experience managing CP for high-level visits and experience with the operational planning cycle.
- Team Leader qualification.
Must hold UK/US/AUS/NZ or Canadian nationality
